Global HR-role at an International Furniture Group with Global Brands

Ekornes has an ambitious global growth strategy and is in the process of launching a major transformation project, aiming to build a more professional and efficient company. As part of this development, we are now seeking a Group HR Manager. 

We are looking for a development-oriented person with a commitment to the field, as well as a passion for process improvements and digital solutions that create value for management and the company.

The position reports to the VP of People & Culture and will collaborate closely with her in developing the global HR function within the Ekornes group.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Development of world-class global HR processes, embraced and used by the entire organization.
  • Leadership and cultural development.
  • Participation in and leadership of global improvement projects.
  • HR Business Partner for Ekornes headquarters.
  • Important sparring partner for the VP of People & Culture.
  • HR support for changes in the Operating Model and governance structures.
  • Special responsibility for Social Governance and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.
  • Responsibility for ensuring internal communication.
  • Responsibility for the HR portal.
 
Education and Experience:
  • Education at Master's/Bachelor's level in HR, management/organization, or equivalent.
  • Broad experience and understanding of HR processes in a larger company, with related project and process management.
  • Experience from complex organizations or manufacturing companies is considered an advantage.
  • HR system competence and interest in digitalization and efficiency.
  • A global mindset, oral and written communicator in English.
  • Fluency in a Scandinavian language is a prerequisite.
 
The right candidate is confident and clear, has strong communication skills, and can create engagement, collaboration, and synergy across cultures. Experience in international work and leadership of cross-disciplinary teams is an advantage.

We offer an exciting and challenging role with office locations in central Oslo or Sykkylven. Some travel must be expected.The headquarters of Ekornes is located by the beautiful Sykkylvsfjord, surrounded by mountains and in proximity of the city Ålesund. Many commutes from Ålesund on a daily basis. The region is famous for its opportunity to enjoy any outdoor sports and activities with snowy winters and west coast summers. Ålesund offers an international music scene, a varied cultural scene, restaurants, bars, clubs, stores and more.
