Experience: President at BI Norwegian School of Management, Managing director at the Foundation for Research in Economics and Business Administration (SNF) and Professor at Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration. Guest professor at several universities in Asia and United States.

Directorship: Former chairman of the board of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) and former member of the boards of Lærdal Medical AS, Mega Tankers AS, Wolsdal & Partners, AS, IT Fornebu AS, Abelia (NHO) and EFMD.

Several years as elected employee representative and as employee representative on factory boards. 14 years as chair of Sykkylven Treindustriarbeiderforening (trade union). Member of the National Executive Committee of Norsk Treindustriarbeiderforbund and member of the pay negotiating committee from 1990 until the present day.

Experience: Started at Ekornes in 1974. Has worked in the steel department since
1980. Has been the senior employee representative, an employee representative and
 sat on the negotiations committee. Member of the board of Ekornes ASA since 1997.

Directorship: Chairwoman of the Board of Directors in Kleven Maritime AS with accompanying subsidiaries, Kleven Maritime Holding, John Kleven AS and Maritim Forening Søre Sunnmøre. Member of the Board of Directors in Telenor, Kristian Jebsens Rederi and Nordvest Forum.
